18-hole Course Handicap = signed Handicap Index × (Slope Rating/113) + (Course Rating − par).
Your inputs
Default worked example. Edit the inputs to calculate your scenario.
Default worked example
Course = 10 × (113/113) + (72 − 72). Apply 100% to the unrounded course value, then round to the nearest whole number; half-way values round toward the higher signed number.
How to use the calculator
Enter the Index magnitude and select regular or plus, then the 18-hole ratings, par and competition allowance. Read the rounded scoring and playing values separately.
What the result means
Use the established Index with the specific 18-hole tees. Plus handicaps give strokes back and are kept distinct from regular indexes.
Formula and units
18-hole Course Handicap = signed Handicap Index × (Slope Rating/113) + (Course Rating − par). Playing Handicap = unrounded Course Handicap × entered allowance/100; round only the final playing value. The separate rounded Course Handicap is for scoring adjustments. Nearest whole-number rounding uses .5 upwards on the signed number line, including negative plus-handicap values.
