CalculatorShelf publishes calculators only when the page has a working tool, visible assumptions, unique formula or methodology notes, and a crawlable example result.

Correction policy

Corrections are handled by checking the visible formula, default inputs, JavaScript calculation path, and crawlable example. If a page cannot be corrected confidently, we keep improving it before recommending it broadly.

Formula review process

1. Define the decision the calculator supports.
2. Write the formula or model assumptions in plain English.
3. Add default inputs and a numeric example.
4. Check calculator behavior with example inputs.
5. Add risk-appropriate assumptions and guidance notes.

Version history

Each calculator shows a documented calculation method and updated date. Major formula changes should update the method note and page example.
